Trash & Recycling Rates

The City of Cedar Hill has an exclusive contract with Waste Management (WM) meaning all collection services (trash/recycling/brush/bulk/HHW) are provided by WM for both residential and commercial properties.

Residential Customers

Residential customers are billed monthly through their utility bill. Residential customers should contact the Utility Services Dept. for any WM service related inquiries at 469-272-2931 / ubilling@cedarhilltx.com.

The residential rate is $20.56/month for residential account holders under 65 years old. For those 65 and older, the rate is $16.03/month. This rate includes weekly trash and recycling services, and monthly brush and bulk collection. To apply for the senior discount, complete the Senior Trash/Recycle Application. Once the application and identification are received and approved the discount will be applied to the account effective on the date of approval.

Residents can now schedule home pickup for household hazardous waste and electronic waste through WM's At-Your-Door Special Collection. To schedule a home collection, visit WMAtYourDoor.com or call 800-449-7587. This premier service is available and applied to all residential utility accounts at the rate of $1.60 per month.

Each residence is provided with one 96-gallon trash cart (green lid) and one 96-gallon recycle cart (yellow lid). Additional cart(s) orders have a monthly fee of $5.00/cart and can ordered at cedarhilltx.com/trash.
