National Night Out
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cedar Hill Police Department PACT unit has met many challenges with events and meetings around the city. As all of you know National Night Out is just around the corner and like all the other events, has created a challenge. The City of Cedar Hill and The Cedar Hill Police Department is dedicated in maintaining the safety of our residents and visitors, while continuing the fun atmosphere of what National Night Out brings. While other surrounding cities have decided to cancel National Night Out, we have decided to do things a little different this year. After many meetings with city administration, we have decided to do a ‘DRIVE THROUGH PARADE’! This allows safe interaction with our Cedar Hill Officers, City Administration, and elected officials while celebrating the meaning of National Night Out.
The PACT Officer assigned to each district will be assigned to a specific location within their district and the crime watch coordinators along with your residents will drive through our location. Each officer will be joined with city and department administration and leaders. Due to social distancing guidelines, we can not have coordinators on location with us. All we ask is that you help us get the word out so that anyone in your neighborhood can drive by and experience the FIRST EVER NATIONAL NIGHT OUT DRIVE THROUGH PARADE!! Please, let them know to decorate their vehicles, honk their horns, etc…we will be taking pictures and posting on our social media outlets. Let's show these other cities that even during this COVID-19 pandemic, Cedar Hill can and will make this a SAFE and FUN National Night Out.
