What is the Citizens Police Academy?
The Citizens Police Academy (CPA) is a FREE course for all residents and those who work in Cedar Hill. Offered by the Police and Community Team (PACT) of the Cedar Hill Police Department, CPA is a 10-week, 25 hour course that includes valuable information for those interested in the Citizens on Patrol (C.O.P.) program.
The CPA is held twice each year for those age 18 and older who can pass a minimum background check. In addition, the Cedar Hill Police Department reserves the right to refuse an application for any reason.
Persons registering must not have a conviction of a Class B offense within the last 10 years and no Class A Misdemeanors or Felonies. |
Classes run from 6:45 to 9:30 p.m. for 10 consecutive Thursdays. Classes are held at 601 E. Belt Line Road in the Grady M. Lamb Community and Police Services Building. Classes are limited to 30 students.
