[ARCHIVED] Honoring Autism Acceptance Month

The Cedar Hill City Council had the honor of presenting a proclamation alongside Derica L. Turner, Executive Director of Special Education for CHISD, officially designating April 2025 as Autism Acceptance Month in Cedar Hill. This proclamation reinforces our commitment to inclusivity and creating opportunities for all members of our community.

Throughout the month, we encourage residents to learn more about autism, participate in community events, and support efforts that foster understanding and acceptance.

How You Can Get Involved

  • Wear blue on April 2 for World Autism Awareness Day.

  • Support local businesses and organizations that provide resources for individuals with autism.

  • Share stories and educational resources to promote acceptance and understanding.

Let's come together as a community to celebrate and advocate for a more inclusive Cedar Hill!
