Fun and excitement abound each year on the second Saturday of October when Cedar Hill celebrates its signature event, Country Day on the Hill. Now in its 88th year, this cherished community tradition will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Historic Downtown Cedar Hill.
The day’s festivities feature a lively parade at 10:00 a.m., as well as arts and craft vendors, delicious food, engaging activities, contests, and live entertainment on three stages. The 2025 parade theme, “It’s a Fiesta,” promises vibrant floats, creative displays, and plenty of local spirit.
The celebration begins the evening before with the Old Settlers’ Reunion on Friday, October 10, at 5:30 p.m. Attendees can enjoy a light supper, free bingo, exciting prizes, and the crowning of the King and Queen of the Hill.
Additional highlights include the Princess Pageant from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, where participants compete for trophies, crowns, and ribbons. Whether you’re watching the parade, exploring local booths, or enjoying live music, Country Day on the Hill offers something for everyone and continues to celebrate the heart and history of Cedar Hill.
