On September 9, 2025 the Cedar Hill City Council will take action on the proposed FY2025-2026 budget which includes a recommendation for a reduction in the property tax rate to $0.636449 per $100 valuation. The proposed budget maintains the services infrastructure, and amenities that are the foundation to everyday life in Cedar Hill for $5.74 per day for the average homeowner.
Public hearings on the budget and tax rate will be held on the following dates at the Cedar Hill Government Center:
- Budget - Tuesday, August 26 at 7 p.m.
- Tax rate - Tuesday, September 9 at 7 p.m.
