Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work behind the scenes in law enforcement? The Cedar Hill Police Department is accepting applications for its upcoming session of the Citizens Police Academy (CPA): a free, 9-week course designed for residents and individuals who work in Cedar Hill. Hosted by the department’s Police and Community Team (PACT), the CPA offers an inside look at police operations and serves as an entry point for those interested in joining the Citizens on Patrol (C.O.P.) program.

The course runs for 22.5 hours over nine consecutive Thursdays, from 6:45 to 9:30 p.m., and is held at the Grady M. Lamb Community and Police Services Building, located at 601 E. Belt Line Road. The academy is open to individuals 18 and older who pass a minimum background check. Class size is limited to 30 participants.

Classes are offered twice per year, providing a unique opportunity to build stronger community connections and gain a deeper understanding of law enforcement in Cedar Hill.
