At this year’s Juneteenth Festival on Saturday, the City of Cedar Hill proudly recognized John Mays and Judge Staci Williams as the 2025 Mr. and Mrs. Juneteenth.
Mr. Mays is the Affiliate Leader of Cedar Hill ISD’s All Pro Dads, a district-wide initiative connecting father figures to schools to foster student success. With 13 chapters across CHISD, his leadership is building a stronger community through positive male engagement.
Judge Williams currently serves as Judge of the 101st District Court in Dallas County. Now in her third term, she brings more than three decades of legal experience and has made it her mission to make the justice system more accessible and equitable. Her Citizens’ Civil Academy educates residents on how civil courts operate and encourages civic awareness.
Both honorees exemplify leadership, service, and commitment to community, values that reflect the heart of Cedar Hill.
