[ARCHIVED] City Council Honors Three Officers for Heroic Acts

At the February 11th City Council meeting, three exceptional officers were recognized for their bravery and dedication to protecting the community. Corporal Kermit Fowlks, Officer Austin Williams, and Officer Anthony Covarrubio were each presented with prestigious awards for their life-saving efforts.

Corporal Fowlks received the Life Saving Award for his quick actions in a critical situation that resulted in saving a resident’s life. His swift response and professional expertise ensured the individual received immediate medical attention.

Officer Williams was honored with the Purple Heart Award, recognizing his courage and resilience after sustaining injuries in the line of duty. His commitment to service, even in the face of personal risk, exemplifies true heroism.

The Medal of Valor was awarded to Officer Covarrubio for displaying extraordinary bravery in a dangerous situation. His decisive actions under pressure protected lives and upheld the highest standards of law enforcement.
