[ARCHIVED] Cedar Hill Launches Official City Podcast Hosted by Mayor Stephen Mason

Revolutionizing City Communications and Community Engagement: Cedar Hill Launches Official City Podcast Hosted by Mayor Stephen Mason

As a pioneer in municipal communication, the City of Cedar Hill, Texas is excited to debut the “Elevate Effect,” the City’s official podcast hosted by Mayor Stephen Mason. This innovative initiative capitalizes on the growing trend of podcasts, reflecting Cedar Hill's commitment to engaging with its community in a forward-thinking and dynamic way.

The Elevate Effect podcast features conversational interviews with notable guests, listener Q&A sessions and key updates on City developments. Podcast episodes explore themes that highlight the success stories of Cedar Hill’s youth and community members, discuss the City’s distinct business landscape, celebrate the area's unique natural beauty and more. Guests featured on the Elevate Effect include prominent figures with strong ties to Cedar Hill. Social media influencer Irene Ogeto, also known as the Black Hiking Queen, and Mike Tansey, Southwest Division President of Pratt Industries, America’s leading 100% recycled paper and packaging company, were interviewed for upcoming episodes.

“I started this podcast to shine a light on the remarkable talent emerging from Cedar Hill and to celebrate the many achievements of the community that deserve greater recognition,” said Cedar Hill Mayor Stephen Mason.

The Elevate Effect premieres on Friday, September 6th, 2024, and will be accessible via the City’s YouTube channel @cedarhilltxvideo, City’s website www.cedarhilltx.com/elevateeffect, and on major podcast platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart Radio, Amazon Podcasts and Google Podcasts.

The City of Cedar Hill invites community members and media to the Podcast & Popcorn Launch Party at the City’s new state-of-the-art Traphene Hickman Library. The event is free and will provide guests the opportunity to view the podcast’s inaugural episode alongside Mayor Stephen Mason.
