In 2017, voters approved funding for streets and drainage improvements in a bond election. On January 27, crews will begin work on Bear Creek Road, from Joe Wilson Road to Cockrell Hill Road. The project will be done in two phases, with each taking approximately 30 days to complete. Phase 1 is from Joe Wilson Road to Duncanville Road and Phase 2 is from Duncanville Road to Cockrell Hill Road.
During each phase, the roadway section will be closed to thru traffic, and access will be maintained to those residents who live on Bear Creek Road.
