1. Recycle your live tree. Put it at the curb of your home on Wed., January 6 or Wed., January 13. Tree-only recycling trucks will pick them up beginning at 7 a.m. both days.
2. Recycle your tree at special tree-only bins from Tues., January 5 to Thurs., January 14, at one of the special bins at these sites:
Cedar Hill Recreation Center – 310 E. Parkerville Road
Hillside Village at Cedar Hill – 305 W. FM 1382
Trees must be free of lights, ornaments, tinsel and spray snow to be recycled. One contaminated tree in a recycling bin can cause the entire load to be rejected.
3. Set out your tree as a bulky item for trash collection. It will not be recycled and will add to the volume in the landfill. Christmas trees set out with regular trash collection should be set out no later than 7 a.m. the morning of your regular trash collection day. Help keep our city clean, please don't put trees out sooner than the evening before your trash collection day.
