For City Council, Place 1, incumbent Jami McCain is facing Michael Mathews and in Place 4, Mayor Pro Tem Chris Parvin faces challenger Shirley Daniels.
For CHISD Board Place 6, Dr. Mike Marshall is not running for election and there are three vying for that seat, Kenneth Frazier, Dawn Miller and Robert Riggs. In Place 7, incumbent Sonya Grass has chosen not to run so the candidates are Cheryl Wesley and Ramona Dionne Ross-Bacon.
