There are many ways to celebrate the holidays right here in Cedar Hill! From one of the biggest family-friendly events of the year to smaller celebrations such as themed classes and ways to give back, there is something for everyone. Check back regularly for the latest updates on events!

Music at Pioneer Park

1st three Fridays in November and December at 5:30 p.m. at Pioneer Park in Historic Downtown

Get in the holiday spirit with acoustic music while you dine and shop. 

Village Lights at Hillside Village

November 18 at 5:30 p.m. at the Village Green

Hillside Village kicks off the holiday season on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with its Village Lights festival, featuring the annual Magical Tree Lighting and Santa’s Arrival. KDGE-FM will kick off the festivities at 5:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy a real 10′ snow slide, holiday crafts, face painting, balloon artists, and much more. Details.

Trinity Church 5K Fun Run

Sunday, November 26 at 5 p.m. at Trinity Church

This is a fun family event, and strollers and dogs on leashes are welcome. Get your jingle on. 5K Fun Run Supporting Adults with Disabilities. Details. 

Toys for Tots

Now through December 4

Cedar Hill ISD will participate in the annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots this year. Details.

Christmas Dinner on Every Table

Donate holiday meals and make a difference with the Cedar Hill Food Pantry. Details. 

Path of Lights & Christmas Village

December 5-8 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Brooke of Life Presents - A FREE family event with Santa, food and craft vendors, train rides, and live animals. Christmas music and caroling and lots of light displays to look at. Fun for the whole family. Details. 

Holiday on the Hill (Annual Tree Lighting event)

Thursday, December 7 at 5:30 p.m.

Ring in the Holiday season in Historic Downtown at the annual Tree Lighting event. There will be plenty of holiday kids' activities and games, live performances, a Ferris wheel, photos with Santa, festive photo ops, a trackless train, and the official lighting of the City of Cedar Hill tree. Mini Holiday Market hosted by The Social Chica

Friday, December 8 at 5:30 p.m. in Historic Downtown

Get ready for a festive shopping extravaganza at Mini Holiday Market, hosted by The Social Chica ! Pose in The Social Chica’s Pink Wonderland and other photo ops for $10 holiday photos! Details.

Holiday Sip & Shop hosted by Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center

Friday, December 8 at 6 - 9 p.m.

Joy of Giving Christmas Event

Saturday, December 9 Drive Thru 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Donate a $10 Target Gift Card and help students and their families during the Christmas holidays. Details.

Santa Paws

November 27, December 4, and December 11 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Hillside Village

Get a photo of your fur baby on Santa's lap this holiday season! $5 from the sale of each photo package will be donated to Tri-City Animal Shelter! Details.

LYCT Musical Production of Jose the Reindeer

Saturday, December 9 at 2:00 p.m. and 6 p.m. 

Love Your City Theater presents the world premiere of “Jose the Reindeer” — the musical adventure of one of Santa’s reindeer who doesn’t enjoy the frosty weather of the North Pole.  This one-hour show is great for children and families. Purchase tickets!

Live Holiday Concert with Texas Guitar Society

Thursday, December 21 at 5:30 p.m.

Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit with a festive LIVE concert by the Texas Guitar Society. Experience the magic as a group of skilled professional musicians presents a sing-along style holiday production featuring guitars, a string quartet, vocalists, and an open invitation for the audience to join in the celebration!  Details.

Outdoor Family Movie Night hosted by Omni Fellowship

Saturday, December 23, 6–9 p.m.

Free outdoor family movie night. Bring your blankets and dress warm. We will be starting at dusk, with free popcorn and fun. The movie to be shown will be The Nativity Story. Details.

Letters to Santa

As part of Holiday on the Hill, we're excited to be delivering your letters to Santa again this year! You can write and submit your letters in person at Holiday on the Hill on December 1st from 5:30-8:30 pm at the Santa Letter Booth OR fill one out at home, then drop it off at our special North Pole mailbox at the Library by December 16th. The Santa Letter template is available online at cedarhilltx.com/holiday.
