Special Olympics

The City of Cedar Hill Parks and Recreation Department is proud to partner with Special Olympics Texas to offer an adult Special Olympics team for our community!

Special Olympics Texas Mission Statement
"The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community."

The Cedar Hill Parks and Recreation department echoes this mission by offering athletic training and experiences to our disabled community with a goal to expand and grow our adapted programming to serve our community.

Interested in getting involved?
We are always looking for new teammates, and for volunteers who would like to help at practices and coach!

New teammates don’t need to be super athletes to participate! We accept all adult athletes and encourage them to compete, be active, and have fun! Likewise, coaches and volunteers only need to be willing to get involved and dedicated to serve.
