The Finance Department's function is to collect, disburse, safeguard, invest and maintain records of the City's assets. Funds are deposited daily but purchase orders and check payment authorizations are paid weekly. Safeguarding the City's assets is accomplished through internal controls and separation of duties among the finance personnel.
