City of Cedar Hill prides itself on providing a wide range of recreational and community events and activities to our citizens. These activities are often offered at a low or reduced cost to ensure that everyone has a chance to participate.

The World's Largest Swimming Lesson™
Be part of the Guinness World Record for the largest swimming lesson. Swimming is a lifesaving skill for children and a vital tool to prevent drowning. Join us for a fun-filled event, where every participant will receive a free lesson and certificate.

Important Note: The Guinness World Record attempt begins at precisely 10am, everyone participating in the record attempt must be registered prior to the event and ready to begin the lesson before the official start time for the lesson.

Come join us as Crawford Park Pool celebrates our country’s Independence Day with a day full of water fun!

“Paws in the Pool”
Bring your doggie for a dip in the pool as we end our summer season. Watch your pooch paddle and play in the water, receive some tasty treats and make some frisky new friends. Owners must provide proof of dogs’ rabies vaccination at the door and must be wearing a current dog license from their town of residency.

Rules
Keep park gates closed at all times.
Clean and remove all waste deposited by dog.
All children under the age of 12 must be under strict supervision and accompanied by an adult.
Owner must keep dog under visual and voice control at all times.
Owners shall repair any damage done by their dog (i.e. holes dug by their dog).
Any dog exhibiting aggressive behaviour must be removed immediately.
No puppies under 6 months of age.
Dogs in season are not allowed.
Owners are liable for damage or injury inflicted by their dogs.
Owner waives liability to the City for any injury or damage caused to or by their dogs during the event.
No alcoholic beverages; no food allowed.

Important Note: Humans will not be allowed to swim with their dogs. Texas Department of State Health Services Section 265.203
