Scare on the Square
Ghosts, goblins
and ghouls invade historic downtown at Scare on the Square
The last Saturday in October
Historic downtown once again played host to a spooky good time when Cedar Hill Main Street and the Zula B. Wylie Library presented Scare on the Square, Saturday, October 31, 2009. |
 |
The frightful fun will begin at 3 pm with ghost stories in 'the yard' located behind the store at
110 S. Broad Street in the historic downtown district. The creepy tales will be performed by master storytellers Traphene Hickman, Toni Simmons, Dan Gibson and members of the
Dallas Storytellers' Guild. Decorations are provided by Rick Romero of
Gamez Optometrics. When the stories are completed, goblins and ghouls are invited to trick-or-treat with participating downtown area merchants until 5 pm.
Admission to the storytelling is free to children accompanied by a parent or guardian. Seating is limited and you are encouraged to arrive on time. If you have questions regarding the event contact Patty Bushart at 972.291.5100 ext. 1084.
The event is sponsored in part by
Phillips' Lumber Company and
Kohl's Cares for Kids™.
