Service, to our neighbors, our community and our country, is a long-standing tradition in Cedar Hill. The city's council presents Blue Star banners, special honor, to families who have a loved one serving in the U.S. military as well as a Certificate of Appreciation. The banners are provided by our local American Legion Post 111.

"The Blue Star Banners are a way our community can recognize those in our town who have a family member serving in U.S. Armed Forces. We hope everyone who sees one of these banners hanging in the window will say a prayer and give special honor to the family with someone in the military," said Mayor Rob Franke

We encourage anyone who has a family member in the service to contact the city so we may present a Blue Star Banner. To nominate someone for a Blue Star banner, or to request one for your family, please fill out and submit application and for more information call Amanda Baker at 972.291.5100 x1007 or email her.
