Brush and Tree Limbs
Brush

Every resident is allowed to set out four bundles of brush or tree limbs with your regular trash on each trash pickup day. Brush should be bundled in lengths no longer than 4 feet and no branch larger than 6 inches in diameter. Brush resulting from services of a Commercial Service Provider is specifically excluded.

Residents may also place loose brush and tree limbs at the curb once a month. This brush map identifies each area by the appropriate week of the month. Week one begins with the 1st Monday of each Month.

Curbside Loose Brush Pickup Guidelines:

  • In order to avoid getting a citation, please do not have brush out earlier than 6:00pm on the Friday before collection week.
  • Place loose brush within 3 feet of the curb (no alley brush pickup) by 7:00am on the Monday of scheduled collection week.
  • This service is for residents only. Businesses are not included.
  • Brush need not be bundled.
  • Do not put brush on water meters or under power/telephone lines.
  • Brush piles must not exceed 10 cubic yards (size of a Volkswagen Bug). Collection of amounts in excess of 10 cubic yards can be negotiated between resident and Waste Management.

This service is not for residents utilizing professional tree trimming services. If you contract with such services, they should remove material from your residence.


High Grass and Weeds
Tall grass
City Ordinance require that weeds and grass be kept below 12 inches in height, and that trimmings are not allowed to accumulate on any public street, sidewalk or other public way.

Weeds and grass shall not be deposited in any inlet, manhole, or storm sewer or sanitary sewer system.

Fence
Fence

All fences shall be maintained so as to comply with the following requirements:

  • The fence shall not be out of vertical alignment more than 25 degrees
  • Any and all broken, damaged, removed or missing parts of said fences shall be replaced within seven days with the same material, size, shape and quality of the original fence to which the repair is being made.
  • Fences shall not be externally braced in lieu of replacing or repairing posts, columns or other structural members.

Trash
All exterior property areas shall be maintain in a clean, safe and sanitary condition, free from accumulations of rubbish, garbage, junk or waste which constitute a public nuisance, or which are contrary to the public health, safety or welfare.
