Cedar Hill currently has 32 park properties varying from Community Parks, Neighborhood Parks to "Other Parks" which include Special Purpose Parks and Greenbelts and Wildlife Corridors. Parks are open daily from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm. No alcoholic beverages are allowed and reservations are required for all organized activities.

In most cases the Parks and Recreation Department, with the exception of the High Pointe subdivision which is maintained by the High Pointe Public Improvement District (PID) and the Lake Ridge subdivision which is maintained by Bluegreen Southwest.
