National Take a Hike Day is observed annually on November 17. With over 60,000 miles of trails in the National Trail System across the 50 states, there is no lack of opportunity to take a hike.
Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center 10 am - 11:30 am
Celebrate National Take a Hike Day with our Audubon staff by taking a guided hike on the West Loop Trail. This is open to all ages (and leashed, well behaved dogs) that can hike 1.5 miles of varying elevation. Donations are appreciate for this event.

Cedar Hill State Park 1 pm - 2 pm
Join a Park Ranger at the Duck Pond Trailhead for a guided hike! Learn about plants and wildlife we have at the park and how they interact with each other to create a balanced ecosystem.
This guided hike is ~ 1 mile and welcome to all ages. Please wear sturdy walking shoes and bring a bottle of water.
