Consider arriving after 10:30 am to better serve you in a timely manner and to help avoid long vehicle lines. The electronic recycling and paper shred lines are longest from 9 am to 10:30 am though both event run through noon. Electronic recycling and paper shred does not require registration. If you have household hazardous waste (chemicals, batteries, paint, etc.), you will need to register. Registration is not required for only electronic recycling and paper shred. The collection event takes place at the Cedar Hill High School parking lot (1 Longhorn Boulevard)

CHECK THE VEHICLE LINE BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
On the morning of Environmental Collection Day, the vehicle line will be live streamed to help better serve you. View the live stream (Flash Player required).
On the event day, please read and follow the road signs carefully. Two vehicle lanes will be in place to ensure the safety of staff. The right vehicle lane will be dedicated to household hazardous waste. The left lane will be dedicated to electronics and paper shred.
If you registered for HHW, first enter the right lane to drop off your HHW then follow the road signs to re-enter the electronics and/or shred lane.
A NOTE ON GPS
Please note that the event is located at the Cedar Hill High School parking lot near the intersection of SH 67 and Cooper. If you are using GPS, you may be given directions to the south entrance to the school which may be closed.
Most electronics are accepted: computers, laptops, iPads, cell phones, monitors, tablets, projectors, scanners, printers, stereos, televisions of all sizes, and MORE (PDF)!
Residential electronics only. Staff has the right to determine and refuse commercial electronics.
United Electronic Recycling currently provides electronics recycling services for Environmental Collection Day.
Bring up to 3 boxes of residential household paper waste. You may drop off or watch the vendor shred your paper waste.

Proshred Security currently provides secure paper shredding services for Environmental Collection Day.
Cannot wait for Environmental Collection Day?
Cedar Hill residents have the option to bring electronic waste to the Mansfield ECC. Staff have the right to identify, determine and refuse commercial wastes. High volumes of electronic waste not typically found in normal residential waste will also be refused. If you have questions, contact the Mansfield ECC. Contact info below.
In partnership with CHISD, Re-Tek and Recycling for a Cause, the City provides drop-off bins for mobile phones, tablets and laptops. Proceeds of the drop-off bins benefit the students of Cedar Hill ISD and Rebuilding Our Heroes.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events
HHW collection events take place on the same day as electronic recycling and paper shredding events. However, HHW collection events require registration. Please visit the HHW website for more information.
