Commercial Water Service
To order new or to transfer existing commercial water and sewer utility services in existing facilities in Cedar Hill, please complete an application.
Starting utility service for new construction projects is handled through the permitting process. Contact the City's Permits Section at 972-291-5100, extension 1090 for information on the permit process and do not continue on this page. Cedar Hill will start service at the requested address one business day after all the required documents (1 and 2 below) have been received. When Cedar Hill has received and approved the required documents the customer will be notified with the service start date and new account number.
1. Complete a commercial service application. Deposits for commercial meters are based on meter size and are $200.00 for a 2-inch meter and $500.00 for a 3-inch or larger meter. Once the customer clicks submit at the bottom of the application, the application is automatically forwarded to Cedar Hill Utility Services for processing.
2. Supply the appropriate supporting documents:
a. If you own the property where the service is being started, we will need a copy of proof of ownership (deed of trust, settlement statement or sales contract) along with valid identification. For identification, Cedar Hill accepts a valid US driver's license or a valid US passport.
b. If you are renting the property where the service is being started, we will need a copy of the signed lease along with valid identification. For identification, Cedar Hill accepts a valid US driver's license or a valid passport.

Commercial establishments wishing to start new trash and recycling collection services should contact Waste Management customer service center directly at 972-315-5400.
Note: that the City of Cedar Hill has granted Waste Management exclusive rights to provide these services in Cedar Hill, and is the only authorized provider.
