Cedar Hill Green Awards
The City of Cedar Hill in partnership with Waste Management, the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce, and the Beautification and Environmental Sustainability (BES) Board created the Cedar Hill Green Awards to empower Chamber businesses, non-profits, schools and/or civic organizations to implement sustainability projects distinctive to the character of Cedar Hill. Sustainability projects are measures taken to protect and enhance the environment, the economy, and equity for current residents and future generations.
The Cedar Hill Green Awards will award up to $1,500 and may distribute among one or several qualifying projects, though a competitive process. The BES Board will be the final arbiter of the award allocation. All award recipients must complete the sustainability initiative by the end of the calendar year of award acceptance. All award recipients shall prepare to provide evidence of project completion by the end of the calendar year of award acceptance.
All Cedar Hill Green Awards applications are due annually on October 31.
Applications will be scored in November and December. Awarded projects will be notified in January. Award recipients will be formally announced at the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce Gala in February.
After project completion, all award recipients shall submit a project final report. Reports are due on January 31.
