Overview
It is the vision of Cedar Hill Neighborhood Services that every neighborhood be a Premier Neighborhood, with active and strong membership that encourages positive communication among neighbors and improves the quality of life for residents. The City Council continues to support programs that foster this vision and strengthen our community.
The Printing and Postage Program (PDF) is designed to help stretch your neighborhood organization's dollars and to encourage open and frequent communication between neighbors. The City of Cedar Hill allocates $400 per fiscal year (October 1 through September 30) to any registered neighborhood organization or crime watch group to be used for printing and / or postage, with equipment provided by the city.

For a limited time each year NeighborWoods, a partnership between the City of Cedar Hill and Keep Cedar Hill Beautiful, offers one to two free trees for residents to plant in front lawns throughout town. The citywide effort is designed to improve the appearance of our neighborhoods and enhance the natural beauty of our community.
How to Qualify
Cedar Hill residents that currently have 1 tree in the front lawn are eligible to receive one additional tree. Residents with no trees in the front lawn may receive two trees. (Residents with two or more trees do not qualify for a free tree at this time.) Applicants must agree to plant it in the front lawn of your residence, according to planting instructions, and to water it regularly for a minimum of 2 years.
The 5-gallon trees usually become available about mid-March. Residents may apply online to receive a free tree, and choose from a Southern Live Oak or Shumard Red Oak. Once your request is received the city will deliver the tree(s) to your home (while supplies last), with a packet of information that includes planting instructions (PDF).
If you think you qualify for a NeighborWoods free tree, complete the online application and a representative will contact you to confirm eligibility and set a delivery date.
Show your patriotism by flying the American flag at your home or business. Purchase your flag from Cedar Hill Masonic Lodge Number 1380 today by simply downloading and completing the flag order form (PDF). Proceeds are used to support Masonic and community charities, such as Dallas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, scholarships, and general operating expenses.
Cost is $35 per flag (order 5 or more flags and the price per flag is only $30) and includes a 3 by 5-foot American flag on a 10-foot steel pole. Your flag will be delivered to you by Cedar Hill Boy Scout Troop 541.
