Cedar Hill Independent School District is a premier 6A district. It consists of 14 schools and serves over 8,100 students, grades K-12. The CHISD fine arts program encompasses grades K-12, and each student is guaranteed quality instruction in the understanding, appreciation, and performance of the arts. In addition, the district also offers an outstanding athletic program with over 900 student participants. A total of 20 sports are available for grades 9-12, and the two middle schools offer 6 sports.

Cedar Valley College Center in Cedar Hill is the center for economic development and business training for the southwest corridor. Students can choose from more than 30 classes in various disciplines, including technology, business art, medical, languages and law enforcement. Additionally, CVC at Cedar Hill offers free counseling, research assistance, job skill assessment, and Small Business Administration lending assistance.
